Aluminum 1100
This series of aluminum 1100 is also called as pure aluminum as it has the highest aluminum content (99%) among all the series. Its typical properties are high electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and workability. It can be strengthened by cold working, but not by heat treatment. It is also relatively lighter than other aluminum series. However, this series of aluminum is quite soft, hence applications that require hardness may not be suitable. General application of this series of aluminum should not require high strength.
We offer Aluminum 1100 in Angle Bar, Flat Bar, Checkered Plate, Plain Sheet/ Plate, Round Pipe, Round Bar, Round Tube, and Sqaure Tube in various sizes.
Aluminum 5083
Aluminum 5083 has the highest strength among all non-heat treatable alloys. The material is known for exceptional thermal conductivity. It retains good formability during tempered condition due to excellent ductility. It is also an ideal material for marine application, since it exhibits high resistance to general corrosion. In addition, it is highly suitable for welding works, and can be hardened through cold work.
We offer Aluminum 5083 in Plain Sheet/ Plate.
Aluminum 6061
Aluminum 6061 is one of commonly used series in the aluminum grades in the industry. It is used in various applications due to its due to its strength, heat treatability, comparatively easy machining, and weldability.
It can also add a layer of protection over by anodizing the material. It can also be used in marine applications as it exhibits high resistance to general corrosion.
We offer Aluminum 6061 in Plain Sheet/ Plate and Round Bar.
Custom Cutting Available
Selected stainless steel materials can be cut according to your required dimensions. Send us the grade, form, size, quantity, and specifications you need for product availability and quotation.
Common Aluminum Applications
Aluminum sheets, plates, bars, and other forms are widely used in fabrication, manufacturing, construction, transportation, and industrial equipment because of their light weight, corrosion resistance, and good machinability.
01
Manufacturing & Machining
Aluminum is commonly machined and fabricated into machine parts, housings, brackets, fixtures, frames, and equipment components.
02
Construction & Fabrication
Aluminum is widely used for structural components, frames, panels, architectural features, and general metal fabrication because it is lightweight and corrosion resistant.
03
Transportation & Marine
Selected aluminum grades are used for vehicle components, marine equipment, panels, structures, and fabricated parts where reduced weight and corrosion resistance are important.
04
Electrical & Industrial Equipment
Aluminum is used for electrical components, enclosures, equipment frames, heat-dissipating parts, and other general industrial applications.
Aluminum FAQs – 1100 & 6061, Applications, Sizes & Availability
Learn more about Aluminum 1100 and Aluminum 6061, including their differences, common applications, available forms, machining, custom cutting, and supply availability in the Philippines.
1. Do you supply Aluminum 1100 and Aluminum 6061 in the Philippines?
Yes. Domingo Multi Corporation supplies selected Aluminum 1100 and Aluminum 6061 products for fabrication, machining, electrical, manufacturing, and general industrial applications.
2. What is the difference between Aluminum 1100 and Aluminum 6061?
Aluminum 1100 is a commercially pure aluminum grade known for excellent formability, corrosion resistance, and high electrical and thermal conductivity. Aluminum 6061 is a stronger, heat-treatable alloy known for good machinability, weldability, corrosion resistance, and structural strength.
3. What is Aluminum 1100 commonly used for?
Aluminum 1100 is commonly used for electrical components, sheet metal work, fabricated parts, heat-transfer applications, general forming, and applications where high conductivity and corrosion resistance are important.
4. What is Aluminum 6061 commonly used for?
Aluminum 6061 is commonly used for CNC-machined parts, brackets, fixtures, equipment components, frames, structural supports, and fabricated machine parts because of its good strength-to-weight ratio and machinability.
5. Which is better for machining, Aluminum 1100 or 6061?
Aluminum 6061 is generally the better choice for machining because it offers higher strength and better machinability. Aluminum 1100 is softer and is more commonly selected for forming, conductivity, and general sheet-metal applications.
6. What aluminum forms do you supply?
Available forms may include selected plates/sheets, flat bars, round bars, tubes, pipes, square sections, and other aluminum forms, depending on grade, size, and current stock.
7. Can Aluminum 1100 and 6061 be cut to my required size?
Yes. Custom cutting is available for selected aluminum products. Send us the grade, form, dimensions, cut length, and quantity so we can confirm availability and cutting capability.
