Copper is characterized to be a soft, malleable, and ductile metal with very high thermal and electrical conductivity. It is also an ideal material for underwater structures because it has anti-fouling characteristics which keeps the bacteria from attaching to the surface. Major applications of copper are electrical wire roofing and plumbing, and industrial machinery.
